Merge Matroska (.MKV) and Subtitle (.SRT) Into One

Do you have any difficulty on playing MKV movie with your blu-ray player which has no subtitle?
If yes, maybe you can refer to my solution below.

Many of the blu-ray player has USB features which supports MKV, AVI, TS playback file format.
Especially MKV movie format that supports on DTS and AC3 that has 5.1 channel surround mode.
But many of the MKV movie do not has subtitles along together.
Now you can use "mkvmerge GUI" to combine language subtitle ".srt" into the MKV file.
Maybe you will think of "will it takes long time" to process the merger?
The answer would be merger of subtitles into mkv won't takes long time. Normally i spent around 4~5min to merge the subtitle into movie file.

You will need the software of mkvtoolnix application as below,

official web: http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/downloads.html#windows

1. You must attach the subtitle ".srt" together with your MKV movie clip. (please rename your subtitle file name to be same as your MKV file).
2. Open "mkvmerge GUI" application.

3. Click "add" for searching the MKV file that you wish to merge the subsititle.

4. After you add-in the MKV movie clip from directory that you've choosen, it will display as above picture.

5. Click "add" again to look for the subtitle ".srt" that is same directory as MKV file.
6. After you've add-in the substitle, you can select the language format that you've added-in.
7. Then you may click "Start muxing" for processing the merger.
8. Processing merging of subtitle just spend around 3mins. It is quick!

How to Remove SkyDrive Pro from Your Windows 7 / Vista / 8 Right-Click Context Menu

Install Microsoft Office 2013 and you may see a grayed out “SkyDrive Pro” option in your context menu. This option appears whenever you right-click a file or folder, but it’s useless if you don’t use SharePoint.
SkyDrive Pro is used to sync files with a Microsoft SharePoint server, as Microsoft has explained. It is different from Microsoft’s consumer-focused SkyDrive client and removing this option shouldn’t prevent the normal SkyDrive software from functioning.

Removing SkyDrive Pro

There’s no obvious way to disable this option in Office 2013’s interface. We will have to delete it from the Windows registry.
To open the registry editor, press the Windows key to open the Start menu, type regedit into the search box in the Start menu, and press Enter. (On Windows 8, press the Windows key, type regedit at the Start screen, and press Enter.)
open-regedit-from-start-menu
Navigate to the following key in the registry editor’s left pane:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shell
allfilesystemobjects-shell-key-in-registry
Expand the shell key and you’ll see a key named SPFS.ContextMenu. Right-click the SPFS.ContextMenu key and select Delete.

The SkyDrive Pro option will disappear from your context menu immediately after you delete this key. You don’t even have to restart your computer or log out and log back in.

The Micromax Canvas Knight A350: Truly Nothing Like Anything... Or So It Seems!

Christmas comes early for Micromax mobile lovers, as the India's second largest Smartphone company presents its latest flagship phone, the Micromax Canvas Knight, its first phone with a true Octa-core processor, and all that at a buck short of 20 grand!

Tech Specs:
  • 5-inch IPS display (1920×1080 pixels, 443 ppi)
  • Dual Micro-SIM slot (GSM+GSM)
  • 2GHz Tru Octa core MediaTek MT MT 6592 processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 32 GB internal storage + no Micro SD slot
  • 16MP Rear camera
  • 8MP Front camera
  • 1080p Full HD video
  • 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • 2350mAh battery
  • Android 4.2 JellyBean
  • Price: Rs.19,999

The side of the phone slightly resembles an Apple iPhone 5s and the build quality is quite good which makes it look flamboyant. Disappointments, however very few, were missing SD card slot, power key placement and no KitKat in the box (a shame!). But hopefully, a KitKat update should be just around the corner.

The Verdict:
"The Micromax canvas Knight shows how Indian companies can also produce world class hardware that is right there in the league of top-end Android phones" (Nandagopal Rajan, Indian Express). The Knight jumps right among the top 10 phones and probably, if not the best phone at 20k, available in India today.
Finally, if you are looking for a high-end phone, but you don't want to loosen your pockets too much, this this is the phone you are looking for!!!
